Guaranteeing energy supply:The main goal of the "Opinions" plan for 2022 is to enhance supply security capabilities and steadily promote the transformation of the energy structure. Regarding energy supply targets, the "Opinions" pointed out that in 2022, the country's total energy production will reach about 4.41 billion tons of standard coal, crude oil production will be about 200 million tons, and natural gas production will be about 214 billion cubic meters. The installed electricity capacity reaches about 2.6 billion kilowatts, and the power generation capacity reaches about 9.07 trillion kilowatt hours. The new peak power generation capacity will be more than 80 million kilowatts.
Green and low-carbon transformation: The "Opinions" require vigorous development of non-fossil energy sources such as wind power and photovoltaics, and greater efforts in planning and construction based on large-scale wind and solar bases. A new energy supply and consumption system supported by clean, efficient, advanced and energy-saving coal power in the surrounding area and supported by stable, safe and reliable UHV power transmission and transformation lines. In 2022, we must steadily promote structural transformation. The proportion of coal consumption will steadily decline. The proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption will increase to about 17.3%. New electric energy will replace electricity by about 180 billion kilowatt-hours.
